Privacy policy

The short version: pages, images and your screen are checked on your iPhone. They are never recorded or uploaded. Only short events (like “blocked 3 images on example.com”) and the information below are sent to our server so your accountability partner can see them. We don't sell your data or show ads.
This policy explains what ArmorKept (the iPhone app, its extensions, the AK Reports partner app and the AK Reports website, together “ArmorKept”) collects, why, and who can see it. ArmorKept is an accountability tool: by design, the person using the protected phone shares certain activity with the partner they choose.
What stays on your phone
- The content of web pages and images you view in Safari. They're checked by a model running on the phone.
- Anything on your screen. The screen monitor analyzes frames on the phone and does not save or upload them.
- Your messages, photos, contacts, passwords, location and what you type.
What is sent to our server

Who can see it
Only the partner (or partners) linked to the protected phone, and you. We access data only when needed to run the service, fix a problem you report, or meet a legal obligation. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Service providers
Our server is hosted by Fly.io. Notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service, and device management uses Apple's MDM service. Emails we send (such as alerts or sign-in messages) go through an email delivery provider. These providers process data only to deliver the service.
How long we keep it
- Safari website history is deleted after 90 days.
- Other activity and alerts are kept while the account is active so partners can review them.
- When an account is deleted, its data is removed from our active systems within 30 days.
Teens
ArmorKept may be used on a teen's iPhone, set up by a parent or guardian through Family Sharing. In that case the parent or guardian is the partner and is responsible for the account. ArmorKept is not intended for children under 13 to set up on their own. If you believe a child's information was provided without consent, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your choices and rights
- See your data: the protected person and partner can see recorded activity in the apps.
- Unlink or delete: a partner can unlink a phone at any time. To delete an account and its data, email us.
- Verse screen: partners can turn the verse screen off in AK Reports.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your information. Email support@armorkept.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Partner and device accounts are kept separate so a partner can only see phones linked to them. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and keep only what the service needs.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes, we'll let you know in the app.
